After being closed all of 2020, we are thrilled to announce the Lathrop House will be reopening to the public Sunday, July 11. Take a walk in the literal footprints of history as you explore the road taken by freedom seekers nearly two centuries ago. Discover the important role Ohio played in the Underground Railroad and how ordinary people did extraordinary things in the search for freedom.
The Lathrop House is the only Underground Railroad site in Northwest Ohio open to the public. Our hours are Sundays 1:00 – 4:00 PM through October. Also, we will be open special hours through August on Tuesday evenings during the Downtown Sylvania Farmers Market. The Market is held in the Harroun Park parking lot from 4 – 7.
