Heritage Sylvania has multiple sites open to the public. The Historical Village, the Cooke-Kuhlman House and the Lathrop House are must-see destinations in Northwest, Ohio. But the Downtown Sylvania area isn't just for history buffs! With a central location convenient to plenty of shopping, art galleries and dining, we can promise your visit to the surrounding area is well worth the trip. Directions
The Cooke-Kuhlman House
Located at 5717 Main Street, on the north block of Downtown Sylvania. Just north of Inside the Five, south of Madeline's Patisserie, and directly across the street from Reeb Funeral Home.
The Historical Village
Located just behind the parking lot between the Cooke-Kuhlman House and Madeline's Patisserie.
The Lathrop House
Located in Harroun Park on Main Street, south of the intersection of Main St and Monroe St. The house is located at the far end of the east St. Joe's Parking Lot.
Parking
The Cooke-Kuhlman House
There is free parking in the lot to the north of the house, in front of the Historical Village with access to the house.
The Historical Village
There is free parking in the lot just in front of the village.
The Lathrop House
There is free parking in the lot in front of the Lathrop House.
Accessibility
The Cooke-Kuhlman House
The 1st floor of the Cooke-Kuhlman House is wheelchair accessible. There is a ramp along the side of the house and a 2" threshold into the house. The 2nd floor is not wheelchair accessible.
The Historical Village
Much of the village terrain is relatively flat with paved walkways and all buildings are wheelchair accessible. The Locomotive and Caboose are not wheelchair accessible.
The Lathrop House
The basement floor of the Lathrop House is wheelchair accessible with a paved walkway to the door from the parking lot. The 1st and 2nd floors are not wheelchair accessible.
