History Half-Pints program!

ALL SESSIONS ARE NOW SOLD OUT FOR THE FALL

Our History Half-Pints program has a great series scheduled for the Fall!  It is perfect for your preschooler.  Our own Mrs. R and Marv will lead your preschooler on adventures the second Monday of each month right here in the Historical Village.  Each 90 minute session includes stories, games, learning activities and crafts pertaining to the theme of the month!  Open to any preschooler age 3  – 6 and their adult.  Registration is required.  Click here to register!  Space is limited so register early!

Each session runs 10:30 – 12:00

Cost $4.50 per child; adult free.  Each child must be accompanied by an adult.

Dates and Themes for Fall:

Monday, September 12 Candyland:  We take a tasty walk through the world of candy with an extra visit to the Village Candy Shoppe included.  Our featured books are: “Curious George Goes to a Chocolate Factory” by Margaret Reys, “Make it Chocolate” by Madison Spielman, and “Chocolatina” by Erik Kraft.

Monday, October 10 School is Cool:  School can be a big adjustment but this session helps us learn that school is fun and cool.  Our featured books are:  “My First Day at Nursey School” by Becky Edwards, “Not this Bear: A First Day of School Story” by Alyssa Satin Capucilli, and “Mr. Putter and Tabby Ring the Bell” by Cynthia Rylant.

SOLD OUT Monday, November 14 Brother Eagle, Sister Sky Did you know this area has been home to Native Americans for centuries?  We will learn about their art, culture and stories through wonderful books and activities.  Our featured books include: “North American Indians” by Marie and Douglas Gorsline, “The Legend of the Indian Paintbrush” retold by Tomie dePaola, and “Brother Eagle, Sister Sky” paintings by Susan Jeffers.
