Heritage Sylvania has multiple sites open to the public. The Historical Village, the Cooke/Kuhlman House and the Lathrop House are must-see destinations in Northwest, Ohio. But the Downtown Sylvania area isn't just for history buffs! With a central location convenient to plenty of shopping, art galleries and dining, we can promise your visit to the surrounding area is well worth the trip.

There is no admission charged to visit any of our sites during regular open hours. We always accept donations. 

We do charge for private group tours.



The Cooke/Kuhlman House, Heritage Center Museum, and Archives are located at 5717 Main Street, on the north block of Downtown Sylvania. Just north of Inside the Five, south of Element 112, and directly across the street from Reeb Funeral Home.

The Historical Village is located just behind the Cooke/Kuhlman House and Element 112. 

The Lathrop House is located in Harroun Park on Main Street, just south of the intersection of Main St and Monroe St. Enter the parking lot for Harroun Park directly across from St. Joseph Catholic Church. The house is located at the far end of the parking lot.  

Parking and Accessibility

There is free parking in front of the Historical Village to access the Village and the Cooke/Kuhlman House. Free parking is also available in the shopping district south of Maplewood and along Main Street. 

Free parking is available at the Lathrop House. 

Much of the Village terrain is relatively flat with paved walkways and most buildings are wheelchair accessible. The basement floor of the Lathrop House is wheelchair accessible.
